Standard devices, switches and matching faceplates are included. Upgrade selected openings or choose a technology package while the home is being rewired.
Fixtures & fans: keep, supply or select.
Keep qualifying existing fixtures, bring compatible fixtures and fans for planned locations, or have CK source approved products at added product cost.
Customer-supplied fixtures: standard installation labor is $0 during a qualifying complete home electrical system upgrade, subject to approval. New locations, reinforcement, lifts/scaffolding, extensive assembly, specialty controls, defective equipment and other non-standard conditions are excluded.
SMART HOME, EXPLAINED
Everyday controls. A home that works with your routine.
A smart home uses connected devices to let you control selected lights and other compatible equipment through wall controls, an app, schedules or optional voice commands. Start with the rooms you use most—you do not need to automate everything.
Lighting that fits the moment.
A compatible smart switch turns a light on or off. A smart dimmer also adjusts brightness with compatible dimmable lights. Keep convenient wall control while adding the features you choose.
One scene. Several changes.
A scene groups actions together. For example, “Evening” could dim the living room and turn on the entry lights. A schedule runs selected actions at a chosen time, depending on the system.
Control that suits you.
Supported systems can add app access or a compatible voice assistant. Features vary by product; some require a hub, internet connection, account or additional equipment.
Plan the system before choosing devices.
Tell CK which rooms, lights and routines matter to you, and which app or voice platform you already use. CK will review wiring, neutral-wire requirements, multi-location switches, bulb and load compatibility, network coverage and any required hub before confirming products and installation in the written scope.
Smart controls do not replace an electrical system assessment. Remote features can depend on power, network and manufacturer services. The videos below demonstrate manufacturer products; they do not promise that every shown feature or device is included in a CK package.
Plan your smart-control selectionsConnectivity, compatibility and privacy
Some devices connect by Wi-Fi; others use a hub or bridge. Matter can help supported devices work across platforms, but device types and features still vary. Some wall controls or local routines may work without internet, while remote or cloud features may stop. Check the specific system before relying on a feature.
Keep devices and apps updated, use unique passwords, enable two-factor authentication where available, and review app permissions and privacy settings.
